I spotted this child in a poor district in the outskirts of Yangon. At the time, as I wandered a crowded neighborhood market, it felt as if the people had never before experienced a foreigner in their midst. While my intent is to focus on beauty throughout this show, I don't mean to imply that everything in Myanmar is beautiful. The country is not without problems, a number of them visible to the attentive eye. For some context, moments after snapping the photo you see here, I turned around to capture this shot of a stream nearby. Life along the railroad tracks directly behind us was fascinating as well.
